With the 227th pick in the NFL Draft, the Seahawks select…

…FB Kiero Small from Arkansas.  Small is built like a fire hydrant (5’8″, 245 lbs) and distinguished himself as a punishing lead blocker for the Razorbacks.  This move sets the stage for a three-way camp battle for the starting fullback position between Small, Derek Coleman, and Spencer Ware.

I think Coleman is still the favorite to win the job (Ware never really impressed me last preseason), but Small is an intriguing player.  He was originally going to play linebacker, so he shouldn’t be a liability when it comes to making tackles on special teams, and he’s not hopeless as a rusher or receiver, either.
