If we can get a dominant 3 tech, and a proven Edge rusher, I think that we could do some damage this season. I really do wonder if we could get Hanyesworth in a trade. He would be an amazing addition for a few years. Depending on how quickly we can develop the elephant rusher position, I think that we should be looking for another edge rusher. Unless Red really does develop as a great 5 tech. If that happens then we can bounce Lo Jack to the other side and be very stout against the run. and blitz our Line Backers like crazy!

Early outlook...
I'll be the first in this thread to predict we will NOT be going for it every 4th down-- so I've included a kicker and punter in my 53-man roster.

QB (3) Hasselbeck, Whitehurst. Reilly
RB (5) White, Washington, Forsett, Jones, Schmitt
WR (6) TJ, Branch, Tate, Butler, M. Williams, Obomanu
TE (3) Carlson, McCoy, Baker
LT (1) Okung (Vallos)(Willis)
LG (2) Hamilton, Gibson (Willis)
C (2) Spencer, Byers (Unger)
RG (2) Unger, Vallos (Byers)
RT (2) Locklear, Willis (Vallos)
<26>

DE (5) Reed, Clemons, Foley, Jackson, Henderson
DT (5) Mebane, Bryant, Cole, Vickerson, E.J. Wilson
LB (6) Curry, Tatupu, Herring, Hawthorne, Hill
CB (4) Trufant, Thurmond, Wilson, Jennings
S (5) Babineaux, Chancellor, Thomas, Milloy, Adams?
<24>

K (1) Mare
P (1) Ryan
LS (1) Overton
PR/KR (Tate)(Washington)
<3>

I actually think Hill will be gone and we'll have either Pawelek or some other rookie make it at LB. Also think there will be one less on offense and one more on defense, but who that is, and which newcomers will shine remains to be seen.
