Free Agency 2014 (3/17)

The gang is back together, at least in the special teams meeting room.  The Seahawks re-signed kicker Steven Hauschka today, rewarding him for his consistency with a 3 year, $9.15M deal.  The $3.05 average yearly salary makes Hauschka the 11th highest paid kicker in the league — it's a fat chunk of change, sure, but it's also not over-the-top expensive, either.

In other free agency news, Jared Allen will be visiting with Jerry Jones' thralls in Dallas in the next few days (though why they would release Demarcus Ware only to turn around and sink money into another aging pass rusher is beyond me), Sidney Rice is drawing attention from the Jets and Saints along with the Seahawks, and the Hawks are also reportedly interested in talking to ex-Titans first round bust Kenny Britt (hey, it wouldn't be the first time Carroll and Schneider snagged a receiver off the NFL's scrap heap).
