Update on Okung’s Injury

The team either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to disclose the full extent of the injury just yet, but we do know two things for sure: 1) the initial x-rays were negative, which rules out a bone fracture, and 2) Pete Carroll did admit that the sprain is in the same area as the high ankle sprain Okung suffered in that same leg last season.

In case you’re curious, here’s a post I wrote last year where I explained what a high ankle sprain is (I also spent some time in that article predicting that Stacy Andrews was brought in to play right tackle for Seattle — whoops).  With any luck, the injury will prove minor and tomorrow we can all go back to not talking about our left tackle’s ligaments.
