Chris, from his Twitter page, put together some awesome statistics below that I feel everyone should know about. Our Hawks have some good things going.

  • Three of the Seahawks’ 2010 losses have been against the Giants, Raiders, Rams — the top 3 teams in NFL at stopping 3rd down conversions.
  • Jon Ryan has pinned 19 of his 49 punts inside the 20. More impressively — only ONE of 49 has been a touchback. Great special teams play from him this year.
  • Leon Washington leads the league in average kick return (at least 10 returns) and average punt return (at least 5 returns) yards.
  • Seahawks have 66 pass defenses registered, but only 7 interceptions. Need to convert more tipped balls and deflections into INTs.
  • Seahawks are 5th in the league in pass defenses with 66.
  • With 26 sacks, the Seahawks are just 2 behind the Packers and Rams to lead the NFL. Clemons has almost 1/3 of them.
  • Through 9 games, Clemons has tied his career high in sacks (8.0) and is 13 tackles above his prior career high
  • Seattle’s Mike Williams & Atlanta’s Roddy White are the only 2 players with 3 games of 10-plus catches in 2010.

Those are some awesome statistics. Thanks Chris for all your hard work with getting all that information.
