Some Weekend Reading

Hey guys, I’m not sure how much I’ll be around this weekend as I’m going on a mini-cation with the wife. In the meantime, I thought I’d toss out some reading assignments in case you’ve got to fill your prescription elsewhere:

  • Jeff over at Next Season Sports has a nice write-up on Pete Carroll’s NFL career from a unique perspective: a Dolphins fan. Recall that both of Carroll’s coaching gigs were in the AFC East.
  • Rob Staton has a new mock draft out and it’s a doozy. At this point, I would be happy for the cards to fall this way. One of the two picks might be a name you’re not familiar with (but will be after the Combine).
  • Looking to brush up on your scouting skills? Check out Daniel Jeremiah’s awesome page about scouting and scouting terminology. He’s also worth following on Twitter @movethesticks.
  • Jerry Brewer has a pretty funny article on the budding Bromance between Carroll and Schneider.
  • Get to know your new RB coach.
  • John Morgan assesses the state of the roster’s offensive tackles.
  • And finally, check out DC Pro Sports report’s mock draft database. They’re a partner on Bloguin and actually have the original online draft database (12 years old!). Sweet stuff. Each one links to the summarized draft.
That’s all I got for now. Enjoy your weekend, I’ll be back Monday afternoon.
