Danny O’Neil has the scoop on the Seahawks’ injury stiuation, and there’s good and bad news.
Six Seahawks were held out of practice Thursday, including Lofa Tatupu. Not much has been said about his battle with a knee injury, so one could assume his absence from practice to be merely precautionary. On the other hand, this is a bit late in the week to be sitting out, and Lofa will be a key player on the field this weekend in Arizona. We’ll know more after today’s practice report is updated.
Four Seahawks were limited in practice — Marshawn Lynch, Mike Gibson, Mike Williams and Russell Okung. It’s looking increasingly likely that Okung will make his return (again) from a high-ankle sprain, and I don’t even have to say how insanely important he’ll be this weekend, both in pass protection and run support. Don’t believe me? Ask Julius Peppers.
Brandon Mebane and Matt Hasselbeck were not listed on the injury report, which is another promising sign. And the timing is perfect, as this game just might be the most important game of the year for both the Cardinals and the Seahawks.
