Locklear and Wilson have been ruled out for this Sunday due to high ankle sprains, Walter Jones and Chris Spencer will practice in full this week and may play, and Hasselbeck has NOT been ruled out. Mora stated that he will see how he does through the week and what the doctors say at the end of the week. If the doctors and Hasselbeck say it is ok for him to play then he will play since they want to win every week. I love Mora's attitude.

Tatupu is uncertain to play, but we will know more later this week. Branch is expected to be back and practicing this week and will play this week as well. Griffith will be ready to play Sunday as well, which is great news.

Mebane is also uncertain. David Hawthorne will start at middle linebacker if Tatupu can't go, while Kelly Jennings will replace Wilson at starting left cornerback.

You can read the article here and we will keep you up to date with more soon.

(Update: Ken Lucas was limited in practice today due to a groin strain)

Hawthorne vs. DD Lewis
written by smuzle, September 23, 2009
Hawthorne vs. DD Lewis are they serious? I don't understand this logic...not the vet? From a long-term perspective, I get the need to develop the heater, but in the short-term - go figure?

Anyone care to explain this logic from the coaching staff? Am I missing something...?
hawthorne's legit
written by 512, September 23, 2009
they clearly think hawthorne is a better player than D.D. Lewis since you know, hawthorne made the final 53 straight up, and Lewis was cut and then brought back only after Hill went down. i prefer hawthorne over lewis anyway. he may not be a veteran, but he's a beast.i still remember that hit from training camp where he not only lit up his man, but also took out the tackling dummy thing, as well as poor greg knapp, who just so happened to be trying to stand behind the tackling thing. i'll take hawthorne's physicality. what worries me is the level of intelligence lofa brings to that D. even lewis is a huge a drop off. we need him to play. you know those two gore runs ain't happening if tatupu was in there to get everybody in the right gaps.
Housh calls out Bears GM

How about we win a few games first....

After last week, I'm more worried about Tatupu's absence than any other on the defensive side of the ball. Having two backups and a rookie for a linebacker corp is just frightening. LB's have to play smart and they set the tone for the defense. Hopefully, two weeks of practicing with the 1st stringers will help the back-up backers....an another week for Curry can't hurt.

If Matt doesn't make it back, I'm bummed, but not disheartened. Seneca will be fine and he has a lot of weapons to play with...Housh, Nate, Butler, Carlson, and now Branch. That's a hell of a lot better than what he had to work with last year!

Go Hawks!

I love that mouth that TJ brings to the team. Let him piss off the entire NFL for all I care, we've needed a guy that that for a while now. He is the best possesion reciever in the game today, and look for him to have a big game against a questionable Bears secondary.

I love Housh but looks like he's not fitting in really well with hasselbeck.Just an observation.Anyone opposed to trading him next year for a another first rounder.I would like to see housh, branch and hasselback.somewhere else next year.I would like to see Taylor Mays,Sam Bradford and crabtree in the mix. What do yo think

slow down there cowboy, Branch may be some where else next year. I'll actually say its likely as I see the other Deon making him obsolete soon.

But there is no way we trade Hass or Housh. Hass is too valuable to this team and getting rid of him would not only set us back at least 3 years, but would be heresy. Housh signed that big deal to play, and play he shall. Give him time, hes a possesion reciever and hes fitting into that role very well.
Wilson

I'm sad to see Wilson out with the high ankle injury as have been pleasantly surprised by his play...

Hawksmack, go back to smokin the hippy lettuce. Crabtree?! Trade Housh and Hass?! Yeah, let's get rid of two pro bowl players and bring in a spoiled, stubborn brat that thinks he's worth more than he is and an unproven QB that would have to start right off the bat. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind seeing Bradford in a Hawks uniform, but give him a year or two to learn from Matt. I do agree about Mays, though. Love that guy...if he recovers from his knee injury with no lingering effects.
pulled groin?
written by kurtthekraut, September 23, 2009
Are you serious,...i know all nfl teams have injuries,...but why is it that our starters cant run from here to there without hurting themselves. Now you take a violent collision in a game thats one thing,...but running around at practice?
karma...

no wonder curry heard people call the seahawks soft. an to you bill.T., i am a pro athlete. a united states marine and my job is dependant on being in top physical shape. and i know for a friggin fact that if you prepare right and stretch, pulled muscles should be a rarity. besides the fact i make minimum wage and am still expected to perform...anyways the seahawks are a soft team. the injuries and game performances show it.and to anyone who questions my famndom, i have an autographed pic of steve largent and jim zorn to show you.

oh and i put $500 on the seahawks to win it all like i have every year since 1998.

Can Seneca Williams win some games ? smilies/tongue.gif Don't know but Seneca Wallace did it. I'm much much more worried about Tatupu's absence, too. Seeing Forte in double digits would kill me, as I'm still convinced that the second Gore' TD was just a TV replay of the first one smilies/shocked.gif
