EDIT: Not sure why the link to this story fails, maybe just comment in that other story?

Doom and gloom Monday, but there are a few reasons for slight optimisim, including this:

During an interview with reporters at the VMAC today, Matt Hasselbeck said that he fractured a rib before while playing with the Seahawks and actually played on the injury the next week. He didn't reveal what year he injured the rib (I can't remember off of the top of my head). That's not to say he'll automatically return because all injuries are different, but Hass did have this bit of uplifting info to add.

"I feel a lot better today than I did back then," Matt said.

Other players that have a chance of returning this week: Walter Jones, Chris Spencer, Deion Branch, Brandon Mebane, Lofa Tatupu
